Used to today to paint a few rooms. Surprisingly good. Took one of the reviewers suggestion about the Wagner rollers and they works well. The small gaskets for the extension we're kind floating in the Box would be nice to have those in a little bag. So keep an eye out for those one looks like a flat washer one looks like a tiny donut only a few millimeters across. They go on each end of the extension. It would be nice if it's swiveled a little bit better but I added a whip so I can turn it sideways. Very good value for the money wish I had done this years ago. I'm a handyman and I do a lot of rental rehab and house buff's for sale. Big fan of the roller because it's much lower impact than breaking out the airless and having a mask off the whole damn place and deal with the Dust. This is a game-changer for me. I'd love a 12in or even an 18 inch model. Also be sure to wrap the roller in a plastic bag when you're not using it on job or it'll dry out the roller.
What I disliked about it was how often the connections would come loose through use.
I had to stop often to retighten the connections.
With all that said, given the nature of the design for its general functional use it still performs reasonably well.
It served me very well on the higher hard to reach places, like the 2nd story outside wall of an apartment building between the eave and tops of the windows. It works best for indoor painting use of walls and ceilings.
But the wand its self and roller/ sprayer set up in general was good.
I added a stainless steel washer over the roller connection to give it a stronger more stable hold.
But worth the money!
Used this power roller to prime and paint a 26' x 40' garage (finished drywall). Paired this with a Graco 40" extension pole, Wagner brand power roller covers, and connected to an inexpensive Becker and Krause power unit. Overhead painting of the ceiling was not enjoyable, but this power roller made the job much easier and I did not have to use a ladder with the 40" extension piece (103" high ceiling). The higher quality Wagner brand power roller covers were far superior to what was provided with the kit. Any large painting job would benefit greatly from this!
Wow! This roller is a keeper. I can knock out a wall in 1/4 the time it takes with a regular roller. When you can't spray, this is the next best thing.
The most important thing about rolling paint is to roll wet to wet. That is, don't let one section dry then start rolling next to it. The paint won't blend. This roller keeps you moving at a quick pace, ensuring you've got wet on wet sections.
I'm only a handyman in the middle of a remodel but if I was a pro I'd have this roller on my truck, it's that good.
I had a Graco roller that I loaned to a, "friend" and never got back. Recently I needed to paint a room in my house and didn't want to use regular old rollers, so I bought this. It is EXACTLY the same quality as the Graco for way less money. You simply cannot go wrong. If your are thinking about getting this. Do.
I rolled a 1300 sq ft house in about 5 hrs. Seller was easy to deal with. Just remember to put gasoline on the rubber seal so it will last. Paint has abrasive in it .
What I liked about this product is that this makes my job easier. All of the pieces were in the package and it worked flawless.
